Organizing a Food Drive
Each month, thousands of pounds are given out to needy families. To keep our stock replenished we rely on community and business donors as well as individuals or groups to organize food drives.
Many times food drives are held in conjunction with an event, such as bringing canned goods as admission to a school sports game or a community event. Single item or theme food drives are also popular. We have seen some very creative themed food drives like a Pasta Party, Breakfast Bonanza and Souper Sunday.
For more information on organizing a food drive contact pantry staff at 608-372-6737.
We accept both non-perishable (canned goods) and perishable items (garden produce). At this time we are in need of:
Canned Meats (stew, spam, pasta w/meatballs)
Meal Helpers and Soup
Pasta and Sauce, Mac and Cheese
Oatmeal and Boxed Cereal
Lentils, Rice, Dried Beans or Peas
Personal Items (Soap, Laundry Detergent, Deodorant, etc.)
